Tournay Blond 7,2° - 3/4L
   Add to basketBasket

Tournay is a gold-coloured beer, calling the blond colour of earn in the sunset of summer evenings. This beer has been matured in bottle and only contains natural ingredients such as water, malt, sugar, hops and yeast. Without any spice addition.

Brewed at Brasserie de Cazeau.

Ultra Fraiche 3,5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Clear pale golden body with a mainly lasting medium size white head. Aroma of banana and cloves. Taste is a little watery, a bit of biting citrus, spice with light body and a short finish.

Extra Stout Dolle Brouwers 9°-1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Very dark brown walnut color, the head is huge and tan, but has mostly subsided and disappeared. Huge belgian yeast nose of wierd dust, cobwebs, slighty spicy with underlying chocolate. First sip: Coffee and cocoa around the edges of a somehwhat sour and yeasty ale. Dry as hell at the finish, the combination of the dark sweet malts and the weird yeast is really enjoyable and makes it complex as hell. Long dry aftertaste of coffee chased Oerbier. Fantastic. Alcohol is well masked.

A very nice beer.

Lichtervelds Blond 9° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Head is initially huge, fizzy, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy dark yellow, dense tiny/small/medium particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie), moderately yeasty (cobwebs), moderately hoppy (lemon, flowers), with notes of banana, clove, light note of alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Well-balanced is the key word here...simple but elegant.

Cistercienne Bruna 8,2° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

This beer looks like it means business right from the start. It is dark red brown with a good fluffy head and has a rich spicy malt nose with a few bitter orange notes. The palate has a big hoppy bite and a rich, fruity, dark coffee character, which tries to become roasted in the finish.

Cistercienne Clara 6,5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

Pink Killer 5° - 1/4L
   Add to basketBasket

Beautiful sweet fruity grapefruit aroma. Orange/pink color, small white head, fair lace. Sweet, very strong pink grapefruit flavor, light bitter.

Brewed at Silly Brewey

After a period of two years of preparation and beer taste sessions, brewery de Silly presents Pink Killer (5vol%), a witbeer (wheatbeer) aromatized with pink grape fruit..

Fruity and thirst-quenching, sugary without being disgusting, the Pink Killer is a wheatbeer with addition of pink grape fruit, what explains the color and the typical grape fruit peel bitterness that allows it to conserve it's character !

Two years of research and tests were necessary to obtain this beautiful balance.

Already after two weeks since it's launch, the Pink Killer is already a huge succes outside Belgian borders, more precise in France and Holland."

Saint-Louis Premium FARO

Clear orange golden color, medium white head. Aroma of sweet gueuzes, not oaky at all but you can just smell the sugar. Taste is extremely sweet of sugar with a bit tartness

Blond artisanal beer from Brewery Gran d'Orge

Printemps de Silly 6.5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Cloudy golden color, medium white head. Aroma is spicy of coriander, fruity of citrus and banana, some wheat and yeast. Taste is bitter sweet, bit yeasty, but also refreshing from citrus.

Troubadour 6.5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

'Troubadour' is a deep blond beer with 6,5 % alc. and a second fermentation on the bottle. This second fermentation is responsible for the higher alcoholpercentage and the further evolution of the beer in the bottle. When poured out in a suitable glass, 'Troubadour' has a thick white tenacious head. The first contact with the tongue results in a lovely sparkling feeling. The flavour is caracterized by a mild bitterness and somewhat spicy, followed by a pleasant sweet after taste and dry finish.

Pilaarbijter Bruin 8°- 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Dark amber, clear; preposterously huge yellow-brown head, going down lacey. Vanilla, bit of chocolate malts, later more herbal, nearly piney. Dark malts prevail in the taste, but the beer is neutral rather than sweet-bitter; neither is it ale-like, like the Winterbier, despite the shared ABV. Slightly chocolatey, slightly spicey, slightly tobacco. Rather empty mouthfeel. Aftertaste is a late bittering onset, slightly hoppy in character.

La Noisette d'Andenne 6.5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Pale golden with creamy head. Sweet, earthy aroma. Malty and surprisingly dry. Complex nutty flavour. Bitter finish. Excellent!
this is the name of an Ardennes dried ham speciality - nothing to do with nuts...) Light copper, yeast in suspension; very dense yellowish head. Nose of caramel, roasted, sharp liqueurish. Extremely sharp alcoholic taste, burnt caramel, sweet - very Huyghe-like tastes. Medium bodied.

Blanche du Hainaut 5.5° -1/4L
   Add to basketBasket

From Dupont brewery

From biological malt and hops, always a good thing. Small head that disappears quickly. Golden color, a bit hazy. Honey and citrusaroma. Thin, citric and a bit herbal with a good deal of tartness. Citric, hopbitter finish. Good quality witbier.

Dupont Bière de Miel 8° -1/4L
   Add to basketBasket

From Dupont Brewery

Organic beer with honey

A biggish, cream-white, fine, foamy head collapses unevenly. The beer is mostly clear and orangey-gold. Nose is spicy, dusty, medicinal. It smells like those wax lips or wax harmonicas you used to eat. Some nice pepper and floral notes in the front, but bandaids and rubbing alcohol, too. Turns sweet and waxy. There's some sugar, too. But it's a little thin. A tangy, citrus finish is marred by an alcoholy sourness.

Florisgarden GRIOTTE 3°-1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Many beers are described as smelling like honey. This one actually does. The label describes this beer as a “white beer flavoured with cherries.” It starts sweet, but finishes with a tartness that cleanses the palate – no cloyingness at all. Could be tarter, but in its current form is very balanced. Very cherry red in colour.

Bonsecours Myrtille 7° -1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

From Caulier brewery

A "Bilberry" beer

Made of beers of high fermantation this fruity beer of blueberries, has a true color(not artificial). The flavour of the berries is recognizeable, but overall this beer is watery, dull and it has a awfull bitterness of bitter almonds at the end.

Jacobins MAX Framboise 4° -1/4L
   Add to basketBasket

After 18 months the old lambic is blended with young lambic, and raspberries and raspberry juice are added.

Rodenbach REDBACH 3,5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Deep dark red beer.
Aroma: cooked dark cherries, cider vinegar, cherry extract, yoghurt, tiny whiff of almond

Initially quite sweet with a big wallop of cherry essence, cooked cherries here too, the distinctive vinegary Rodenbach tang in the background, finishes sweet and tart with a pie-filling aftertaste

Boskeun 7° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

De Koninck Blond 6° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Very clear light gold in colour. Aromas are sweet grain with hints of banana. Flavours are mild fruity malts with some yeast mustiness. The finish is quite bitter and dry. Also has a nice foam mouthfeel. Not too complex, but refreshing and light.

John Martin's Pale Ale 5.8° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Who can ignore Martin's Pale Ale ale that our ancestors called "the noblest of English Pale Ales".
This unique beer of 6 % ABV is the fruit of truly exceptional craftsmanship, a unique technique whereby authentic Kent hop-bells are added after brewing.

The amber sensuality of Martin's Pale Ale, with its creamy head and its hop-laden flavour, makes it a favourite for lovers of distinctive beers, greatly appreciated in Belgium and throughout Europe. In Italy, the maritime themed "Galeon" pubs reflecting the John Martin maritime theme give it pride of place. Its success here has made it one of Belgium's top-selling beers.

St-Joseph 8.5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

St - Joseph, homage to the St-owner of the carpenters, this beer is an artisanal beer. It is the fruit of a pale mixture of malt and coloured special malts (Caramel, Munich, Caramunich). The raw materials used are the barley and the hop. The barley, cereal rich in starch, is transformed into malt, which gives color to beer. The hop flower, as for it, is the source of bitternesses and flavours of beer. It is tasted preferably at a temperature of 12°C. Proposed out of not pasteurized bouchonnée bottle, it ages with wonder in cellar. The activity of yeast is at the origin of the evolutionary taste of beer. The beer St - Joseph is brewed by the Dupont Brewery. The latter was preceded with Moinette with the World Contest of beers in 1997. St - Joseph has even his personalized glass, which will enchant more than one collectors!

Pilaarbijter Blond 7,5° - 1/3L

Ultra Amber 7° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

A somewhat hazy orange on the pour, the head mountainous and light tan in color, frothy and after decomposing the lace forms a delicate sheet upon the glass. Malt is dominate in the lightly sweet nose, a tad plum like, but a pleasant beer to sniff, and the start sweet and malt laden, the top middling in feel. Finish is quite acidic but not unpleasant, the hops perfect in their spiciness, droughty long lasting aftertaste with a bit of “belly warming to boot”, drinkable and I think a fine beer have a couple of after a fine dinner.
This is the original beer from Ecaussinnes. 7% alcohol. It is spiced, but you don't really taste the spices. Nice amber color, lightly caramelised with a light bitter taste at the end. A very nice beer, recommended by Michael Jackson.
From brewery "Brasserie d'Ecaussinnes"

Ultra Bruin 10° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Tan thin head that holds well. Deep brown and brite in color. The initial flavor seems to be the sharpness of candi sugar followed by a slight high lovibond caramel and chocolate malt. The enormity of this beer is well masked in the flavor making it appear a light very drinkable ale.
10 % of alcohol, a light Scotch-aftertaste, a nice body coming from the 4 different kinds of malt (one pale, two caramelised and one torrified malt).

From brewery "Brasserie d'Ecaussinnes"

Ultra Blond 8° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

This blond beer is characterised by a bitter sweet palate which generates a mildly bitter finish.
As promised by the label this beer is blonde in color, very brite. A thin head leaves nice belgian lace all the way to the end of the glass. Fruity estery aroma reminds me of orange peels. Very nice mouthfeel with a refreshing bitter finish. The flavor is remincent of oranges/tangerines.

From brewery " Brasserie d'Ecaussinnes"

UltraDelice 8° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

Deep brown color with a tan head that holds well. The aroma is fine and delicate like a belgian chocolate. The flavor is rich and malty boasting of chocolate malts without any astingincy. There is a fair amount of bitterness that seems very appropriate however, there is something a bit out of balance between the amount of bitterness and the level of sweetness. A great stand alone desert beer, comprable to a Rochefort or Westvleteren.

From brewery "Brasserie d'Ecaussinnes "

UltraSoif 5° - 1/3L
   Add to basketBasket

A five degrees blond top- fermented beer, but still with a nice taste.

Hazy gold, long lasting but thin white head, moderate condition. Muted fruity malt and low yeastiness in the nose, full bodied and malty in the mouth with slight sweet yeastiness lingering through to the finish before turning dry and slightly chalky.

Slee Doorn 6° -1/3L

Another beer from De Regenboog brewery

Sleedoorn means sloe(berry). Label by American cartoonist Bill Coleman. Colour: Rosé Champagne with brownish shine. Gushing!, then Champagne-like bubbling with fast disappearing head - more like rosé brut than some pseudo-Champagne beers! Nose is fruity, estery, perfumed. Definitely something wild - wild strawberries come to mind. Also dry sherry nose! Taste: sweet like sweet portwine, but more fruity and lighter, of course. Fruit is inidentifyable to me - but then I don"t consume sloeberries on a daily base. Sweetness however, keeps dominating. Mouthfeel has some tartness, adstingency even, but it is masked by the sweetness. Not really light, there is some body after all.

Antiek Super 5 - 5° -1/4L
   Add to basketBasket

Artisanal beer from Deca brewery

Cloudy orange colour with a giant foamy head, estery and yeasty nose, very carbonated, tart and acidic, light-bodied, very dry and a little bit brutal hoppy finish - very refreshing

The beer after its repudiation of the 330ml brown bottle takes up temporary residence in the glass a slightly hazy gold with a Brontosauric sized head that is creamy in consistency and the color an off white as it deliquesces the lace forms a solid sheet upon the glass. Nose is malt dominated, citrus like in its crispness, clean and fresh to the senses, start is sweet with a pleasant malt profile, the top light. Finish is authoritarian in its acidity with the hops delectable in their spicy presence, the aftertaste desert dry and long lasting, a nice refreshing beer.

Vleteren Alt Bruin 8° - 1/4L
   Add to basketBasket

The beer pours a deep beclouded brown with a semi-creamy head that is mountainous in size as it slowly fades a satin sheet of lace is left to obscure the glass from sight. Nose is rich in sweet malt with a nice hint of yeast, also crisp and fresh, with a hint of brandy bitterness, front is sweet with a good malt presence, the top feels moderate to the palate. Finish is heavy-handed in its acidity with the hops prickly in their spicy bite, tart and somewhat alcohol bitter aftertaste that is also sherry dry, and the alcohol does tend to warm the belly, a fine drinking beer.

La Rulles Triple 8.4° - 3/4L

Blond beer with a small head. The aroma dominating herbal. The taste is light bitter. It is a very typical triple tasting beer but well balanced.
Peach-coloured, ochre head reducing itself to a half centimetre. Herbal, spicey (ginger, laurel, garden weeds) nose. Taste: this is what you call Band-aid? It certainly has a flavour as from a would liner - mint/camphor perhaps. Having said that, this taste is quite mild. Rest is more typical tripel. Dry-touch of candi sugar, and yeasty. Ending a bit more fruity/citrussy. Well bodied. Reasonable tripel. More surprising than most.
